Clothing Worth Your Consideration 👍

Hey Reader,

How’ve you been?

I was traveling all of October and just got back to NYC last week. Finally home!

You forget how good it feels to sleep in your own bed, especially after an extended time away.

Anyway let’s get down to biz-nass.

This (soon-to-be) ongoing email series is called “Clothing Worth Your Consideration” where I highlight some stuff I find that I think is worth buying.

(Only If you really want or need it, of course, no promotion of overconsumption here)

Our friends at Huckberry are having a fall sitewide sale from Nov. 13-15, and nearly everything will be 15% off, so I thought that’d be a good place to start!

Here are a few things that caught my eye:

  • First up, the Flint and Tinder Flannel Lined waxed trucker jacket. Great rugged, casual jacket, tons of color options, will probably be your go-to, everyday jacket to throw on before heading out the door.
  • Astorflex’s Bitflex Chelsea boot is an obvious addition to your winter boot lineup. I’d start with the stone color, you can wear so much with it.
  • A rollneck sweater, specifically this one from Wills in a blend of alpaca, merino, and YAK wool is 👍👍👍. I have a sweater in a similar color and I wear it ALL. The. Time.
  • Another sweater rec: the johnny collar-style Bolinas sweater, is too good. It’s heavier and warmer than you’d expect, too. I love mine in olive.
  • I’ve been wearing more tees lately, and these US-made heavyweight tees have been the first ones I reach for. But BEWARE: They’re actually, truly a heavyweight tee.
  • These pleated chinos are a nice spin on your standard, run-of-the-mill khaki pants. They’re based on a vintage officer style with its subtle herringbone pattern and back flap pockets.
  • And if you want fancy leather house slippers—why wouldn’t you?—consider these from Luca.
  • I bought one of these screen-free digital cameras, 1) because the lack of a screen keeps you in the moment while still being able to capture memories, and 2) it reminds me of those disposable cameras we’d use as kids… but without the need to drop it off at a drug store to get the film developed, of course.
  • I always find myself needing a utility knife—opening packages, breaking down boxes, cutting loose threads—and the Palmer utility knife from The James Brand is sleek and compact, easy to change the blade, and comes in fun colors, too.
  • While I was traveling, I used some sort of sling bag or crossbody bag every single day. It felt safer, and since I was out and about all day, made it easier to carry a bunch of stuff (without going full-on tote or backpack). The Venture Sling (6L size) from Bellroy is a good everyday one. Just big enough without being too big.
  • I also stayed in several hotels, and I can never resist a cozy luxe hotel robe. I don’t have one at home, but always wish I did. Admittedly, they’re not super practical since I won’t spend much time in a bathrobe, but I could see something like this lounge-friendly Après robe from Taylor Stitch getting more use on a day-to-day (or evening-to-evening) basis.
  • Finally, if you’re into a little fire at home—a nice flame always sets the mood—but you don’t want to burn candles, this personal concrete fireplace could be a fun little home addition.

Honestly there’s so much great stuff on Huckberry, it’s hard to curate an email with only a few things.

Hop on over to their site sometime between November 13-15 to take advantage of their sitewide sale.

Happy browsing and shopping,
Barron
